Overview

Grantham High School is staging "Macbeth". But as rehearsals proceed, intrigue among the cast takes on Shakespearean proportions... This original play enables students to gain an understanding of the plot, language, themes and main characters of "Macbeth". Macbeth on the Loose is a humorous play aimed at Key Stage 3 students. It is a fun, accessible introduction to Shakespeare which can either be read in class or performed on stage. Activities are provided to help with exploration of the text. They have also been designed to complement specific objectives within The Framework for Teaching English for Years 7-9, and these objectives are highlighted at the start of each task.
