SIX: TEEN EDITION is a full-length adaptation of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ international phenomenon SIX, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences. Please note the following restrictions:
Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. From Tudor Queens to Pop Icons, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a Euphoric Celebration of 21st-century girl power! This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over.
The New York Times says SIX is “pure entertainment!” and the Evening Standard hails SIX as “the most uplifting new British musical I have ever had the privilege to watch.”
At its heart, SIX is about celebrating the talent and individuality of the women and non-binary people onstage. The Queens should therefore be played by cis women, trans women, trans people and people who exist beyond the gender binary in any capacity, who feel on a personal level that this is their story to tell. Cast can be expanded to include backup singers and dancers of all gender identities.
“A marvellous show, dripping with invention and intelligence... A beacon of hope for the future of British musicals.” – The Daily Telegraph
“Pure entertainment… Destined to occupy a top spot in the confetti canon.” – The New York Times
“A punchy pop extravaganza… energetic, sassy and slick.” – Mail on Sunday
“A joyous celebration of sisterhood.” – The Guardian, Australia
“Totally British fun-fest.” – The Times
“A powerhouse score that offers everyone on stage a shot at mastering her own story.” – Chicago Sun-Times
“A riotous explosion of wit that speaks strongly and vibrantly to today. All hail!” – Vogue

Standard Orchestration: The Standard Orchestration music package is essentially what is used for professional productions of SIX. This version uses a click track and pre-recorded elements provided as a QLab file. All members of the band wear in-ear monitors/headphones and play along to the click track which is triggered during the performance by the Musical Director. The Standard orchestration requires extensive keyboard and drum programming. MainStage keyboard programming and Roland SPD drum pad programming are available through KeyboardTEK. The band parts are written for the following instrumentation:
Please note that the use of click tracks are REQUIRED to use this orchestration in conjunction with a live band. If you do not have the capability to utilize a click track you should either use the performance tracks included with this license or choose the Six: Teen Edition Expanded Orchestration. Expanded Orchestration: As an option for licensees who want to use a live band, but don’t wish to use any click track or pre-recorded elements there is an acoustic orchestration available in the form of an Expanded Orchestration. This orchestration retains the core of Keyboard 1-Conductor, Guitar, Bass, and Drums from the Standard Orchestration while adding parts for Keyboard 2, Reed (Flute, Clarinet and Alto Sax), Trumpet, and Trombone. This version requires some keyboard programming for both keyboards, but no drum programming. This option is scored for the following instrumentation:
