Simon Reade

Simon Reade has adapted Private Peaceful as an internationally touring award-winning one-man show, for schools and youth theatres, for BBC Radio 4, and as a feature film starring George Mackay and Jack O’Connell. His other Morpurgo adaptations include An Elephant in the Garden, Toro! Toro!, Twist of Gold and The Mozart Question. He wrote the screenplay for Journey’s End (starring Sam Claflin, Asa Butterfield, Toby Jones, Tom Sturridge, Stephen Graham and Paul Bettany, directed by Saul Dibb), and his many other plays include adaptations of Pride & Prejudice, A Room With A View, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, The Scarecrow and His Servant, Not The End of the World, Moon Tiger, Tales from Ovid and Midnight’s Children.
