Helen trained at Italia Conti on the BA Acting (Hons) course.After a few years of working as an actress Helen moved to writing and directing, with a particular interest in 19th century classic literature. Adaptations for stage include Persuasion, Far From The Madding Crowd, Northanger Abbey,Under The Greenwood Tree, Frankenstein: The Year Without A Summer and A Christmas Carol. Book-writing commissions include Lysistrata (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama); The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow(National Youth Music Theatre) and Mrs Beeton Says...(Bristol Old Vic Theatre School). Directing credits include Persuasion, Daisy Pulls It Offand Mary Shelley(Arts University Bournemouth); Così Fan Tutteand Stone Cold Murder(Dorset Corset Theatre Company) and Love Is Not A Science (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama). Helen is Artistic Director of Dorset Corset Theatre Company and lives in the West Country with her family.
