Following its successful premiere at the Bristol Old Vic in 2016 The Grinning Man co-written with Carl Grose, Tom Morris & Tim Phillips (dir. Tom Morris) transferred to the West End’s Trafalgar Studios in December 2017. A motion capture version of the theatre show was made by Andy Serkis at Imaginarium and there are talks underway about a feature film adaptation.

Marc’s musical Baddies, co-written with Nancy Harris, premiered at the Unicorn Theatre in November 2015 and was nominated for an Off West End Award for Best Production for Young People (dir. Purni Morell). Nancy and Marc are writing The Magician’s Elephant, based on Kate DiCamillo’s best-selling book, which will premiere at the Royal Shakespeare Company in October 2021.

Original musicals developed at the National Theatre are The Circle (dir. Michael Boyd) with Tim Phillips and Ghost Map (dir. Bijan Sheibani) with Ryan Craig and Glyn Maxwell. Marc is developing Rescue Fantasy for the Soho Theatre with Phil Porter and for the Royal Opera House Marc created Stuck on a Sunday with Jason Morell and Timothy Walker (an animated opera film made with the support of the BFI) and Twitterdämmerung with Helen Porter, winner of the Guardian Innovation Award.

Marc has had music featured in American Horror Story. Marc wrote the soundtrack for the feature horror Beacon 77 (dir. Brad Watson) and for his work on the animated film Hearts he was nominated for the Berlin Film Festival’s VW Soundtrack Award (dir. Thomas Strueck). His soundtrack to the animated film Missing won the Best Music for an Animated Film at the Berlin Independent Film Festival (dir. Cristian Wiesenfeld).

Marc has written the music for Marina Waltz’s multi-award winning art films Suicide Note, Private Note, Private Waltz, and Quercus for which he won Best Music at the LA Film Festival.

Scores for plays include Dance Nation at the Almeida (dir. Bijan Sheibani), Blood & Gifts at the National Theatre (dir. Howard Davies), Giving at the Hampstead Theatre (dir. Bijan Sheibani), Adot for the Royal Albert Hall, Does My Society Look Big In This? at the Bristol Old Vic (dir. Tom Morris) and The Secret Agent at the Young Vic (dir. Joseph Alford).

Marc has a creative partnership with Tim Phillips entitled Ear to Ear.
