Olga Braga is a playwright and screenwriter, currently on attachment with the National Theatre, London. Her play Donbas won the Theatre503 International Playwriting Award (from 1,586 submissions). Return to Sender has received public readings with the New York Drama League, Ravens Theatre Studio, and UK companies including Leeds Playhouse, New Diorama Theatre and Kala Sangam Arts Centre. Her screenplay The Big Blind was a finalist for the Sir Peter Ustinov Screenwriting Award and reached the final stage of consideration for BBC Writersroom. She is a recipient of the Off-West End Adopt a Playwright Award and the London Library Emerging Writers’ Fellowship. She was previously selected for the Royal Court Young Writers’ Programme and commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). She trained in law and economics (LLB/MSc). Alongside her writing, she performs stand-up comedy and has been shortlisted twice for the BBC New Comedy Award and was a finalist for the Max Turner Comedy Prize.
