He was born in London in 1932. His plays have been translated into 18 languages, and performed worldwide. They include The Kitchen, The Wesker Trilogy (comprising Chicken Soup with Barley, Roots, I'm Talking about Jerusalem) Chips with Everything, Shylock, and The Four Seasons.
