John Wooten

John Wooten’s plays have been produced off-Broadway, internationally and in regional Equity theatres across the country. His most recent play, Flawless, had its world premiere at Penguin Rep in October and will continue as a rolling World Premiere with runs at Premiere Stages in September 2026 and Shadowland Stages in October 2026. Other productions include: Trophies (off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane), Hannah (Premiere Stages), The Mission Home (King’s Head Theatre in London and the Forum Theatre), Humbug (Premiere Stages), Happy Hour (Twelve Miles West), Kiss the Bride (TheatreFest), UnCivil War (Theatre at Lime Kiln), Duck Crossing (Premiere Stages), The Role of Della (ATL finalist and over 100 productions regionally in America and internationally in Greece, Italy, France, England, Montenegro and Australia). Screenplays include The Role of Della (Toronto, Ft. Lauderdale, Cleveland and DC Film Festivals) and Cat in the Pan (Montreal Film Festival). Honors include a Best New Play Nomination from the American Theatre Critics Association, two MidAtlantic/NJSCA Playwriting Fellowships, and the 2023 STAR Award of Excellence from the New Jersey Theatre Alliance.
