"The work is speedy, poetic, urgent and electrifying ... The trial and execution of the Ceausescus is done as a sickening revue sketch, an indicator of the double-edged, sceptical tone throughout. A triumph! The future of our theatre, if not that of Romania, is secure." - Observer

Summary
"To be or not to be?" may be The Question, but it is not the only one. Hamlet Part II, for example, answers a question about Hamlet that has plagued scholars, readers and playgoers for over four hundred years: "What happened next?" Prince Lear addresses yet another question:"What took place just before the start of King Lear, setting in motion the improbable events of Act I, Scene 1?" And in Fatal Loins, the question answered by the play is directly posed in the prologue: "If Juliet and Romeo survive/Will their eternal passion stay alive?" Please see the individual entries for more details.

Media
"The plays of Perry Pontac have been a well-kept secret on BBC radio for far too long ... but it's only with Codpeices, comprising three of Pontac's Shakespearean parodies, that they now find their way into print. Nobody else is doing this. They should be seen" - Alan Bennett
