When the cat eats Uncle Richard's salmon Mary fills the gap with tinned fish and makes sure only she and George eat that. Unfortunately all their guests have also eaten the fish and the cat is found dead on the doorstep, and it is only as they are on their way to hospital (and the stomach pump) that George and Mary discover what really happened to Tiddles!
