Liberty Beat is a musical written for a very mixed company of some forty teenagers.
Liberty Beat is a musical written for a very mixed company of some forty teenagers. It is a lively, exciting show set in the fifth century and attempts to find the truth behind the fifteenth-century legends. The little boy Arthur sends off at the end of the play to read and write so he can tell the story obviously got lost! What we do know is that sometime towards the end of the fifth century the Romansied Celts of Britain rallied and began to push back the invading Saxons. Legend says the rally was led by Arthur who managed to dominate the full length of Britain. Underlying the story is the idea that if people do not hang together they will all hang separately.
