The Princess, carried off by the Dragon, very sensibly prefers to fall in love with him instead of the rather prosaic hero. So potent is the influence of a good woman's love, (helped by a little opportune magic) tht the Dragon changes forthwith into an almost handsome young man and is re-named James. A runaway marriage in Fairyland, aided and abetted by the Queen of the Fairies, seems to promise the young people will live happily ever after.
