Details

Killbride- Seems to be "old school tie" but he is by no means conservative. He is acute, humourous and oddly senstive when he chooses to be.

Peters- The butler combines secret family pride with a servant's natural desire to keep out of trouble.

Pridthorne-A man of the soil, the folk-lorust par excellence.

Caroline- Witty, beautiful, graceful, gay-and rather poignant.

Chamberlain- Well-meaning and prissy; he probably became a medium out of suburban despair.

Lesley and Derek- Must never lose their charm and zest and energy whatever their bickerings and idocies.

  • Setting
