Description
Vivacious Sir Eustace Bliss looks with marked disfavour on his son, Arnold, who is a stay-at-home pedantic, young bank official. He finds him a flat where the sisters Ponsonby do the housekeeping, with yesterday's toast as today's breakfast, dust everywhere and moey a scarce commodity. Here too are thier youngish guardian, the muscular parson, Angus McClure, dourest of Scots, and a chubby, irrepressible soundrel from Middle Europe, Lorenzo, whose native drink, Jabovich, sets Arnold on the road to ruin, riot and eventual bliss with Penelope.
