Summary

Ever since her husabnd's boating accident, Jane Shore has ruled her shop with a rod of iron and kept her son, Craig, in complete subjection. Craig is in love with the shop assistant Penny, but is too afraid to tell his mother. Penny and Craig decide take matters in to their own hands and persuade one of the customers to propose to her. Much to his shock she accepts. Soon after the 'ghost' of Jane's husband appears and he turns out to be alive! Through this series of events, involving a Crystal-gazer, Craig and Penny declare their love for eachother, whilst Mr and Mrs Shore decide to remain separated.
