Summary

Unhappily, Pierre forgets to unwind his clockwork doll, which is ruined. To save her father from his master's wrath, Lucille, his pretty daughter, takes the doll's place. The Marquis is astounded, and his little girl delighted, at the marvellous creation - but complications ensue despire Pierre's frantic warnings that the 'wax' of the doll is not yet cold enough to be touched. All ends happily, however, with the Marquis saved from a scheming adventuress and about to wed his paited doll.
