Summary
The Druid's Rest is a delightful comedy of mistaken identity. When Joe Edwards, landlord of The Druid's Rest pub, reads in the newspaper that not only is the National Eisteddfod to be held a mere six miles away under the auspices of local Lord Ffynnon, but also that there is to be a new competition for the best village choir in Wales, he becomes very excited and immediately makes plans to enter his own choir. In the same newspaper, however, is a report of a wife-murderer named Smith being at large in the Welsh countryside, and when a mysterious wayfarer (in reality Lord Ffynnon travelling incognito) comes to the inn seeking a room, under the name of Smith, it is not long before Job and his family jump to the wrong conclusions, with highly amusing results!
