Summary
Don Perlimplin marries Belisa. Although he is wealthy and attractive she takes a stream of lovers. Realizing he cannot satisfy Belisa, Don Perlimplin arranges a meeting between Belisa ands her mystery lover. When the man reveals himself to be Don Perlimplin himself, the play ends on a tragic note as he stabs himself and dies in the arms of Belisa.
