Summary
The third of Lorca's puppet plays centres around the familiar themes of love and marriage, yet the characters are bolder and more striking than before. As Lorca felt that puppets gave greater freedom, he was able to create coarse and unsubtle characters, such as the violent and greedy Don Christobal and his sexually insatiable young wife Rosita.
