In the dead of winter, when the temperature drops below freezing and the days drag on in one endless gray blur, there are two words that every student longs to hear: SNOW DAY! In this collection of snowy scenes, we’ll see what students (and a few teachers and administrators) get up to when school gets cancelled. From a scared sledder in “Out Cold” to a beleaguered babysitter in “Blanket of Snow”, to some role-playing paladins in “Winter is Coming” and a snowy mix-up in “Snowball Effect,” these scenes and more are sure to bring some frosty fun to your stage with a whole lot of humor and a dash of heart. And with a minimal set and super flexible cast, this one-act play will be a fun and easy way to remind audiences of the magic that can only be found on a snow day.
