The local football team has reached the final and when Danny facetiously remarks on painting the street in support his friends take up the idea with fervour and paint their terraced houses yellow - the team's colour. But Danny refuses and when the family are ostracized by the community Danny's wife leaves him. Is he just stubborn and awkward or is he right to assert his independence?
