This anthology presents the set selection for Learners entering:

• LAMDA Graded Examinations in Communication: Speaking Verse and Prose (from 1 August 2019) for Entry Level to Grade 8
• LAMDA Introductory Graded Examinations (from 1 August 2019) at Stage One, Two and Three (Solo and Group)

With a foreword by Valerie Bloom, the collection includes carefully chosen verse and prose pieces from a wide variety of international authors – many of whom have been recognised for their craft: some are celebrated authors of the past and others are bestselling authors of today.

For the LAMDA Examinations student, the verse and prose pieces explore a range of diverse themes from around the world; providing the Learner with different characters and worlds to explore, while studying for their examinations and practicing their communication skills.

For the general reader, this anthology will allow you to immerse yourself in a varied collection of verse and prose. It can act as the starting point in discovering new authors, poetry and extracts of literature.
