Zinnie Harris
Zinnie Harris is a playwright and theatre director living in Edinburgh. She studied Zoology at St. Annes College, Oxford, and then received an MA in Theatre Production (Directing) at Hull University. Theatre credits include BY MANY WOUNDS (Hampstead Theatre, 1999), FURTHER THAN THE FURTHEST THING (Tron Theatre, Royal National Theatre, 2000), NIGHTINGALE AND CHASE (Citizens Glasgow and Royal Court Theatre, 2004), MIDWINTER (RSC, 2004), SOLSTICE (RSC, 2005), FALL (Traverse Theatre in association with the RSC, 2008), and MISS JULIE (adapted for the National Theatre of Scotland, 2006). FURTHER THAN THE FURTHEST THING was the winner of the Peggy Ramsay Foundation Award (1999), Fringe First (2000), and the John Whiting Award (2000). Zinnies directing credits include GILT (7:84, 2003), DEALERS CHOICE (Tron Theatre, 2003), MIDWINTER and SOLSTICE (RSC 2004 and 2005), MISS JULIE (National Theatre of Scotland, 2006), and MASTER OF THE HOUSE (BBC Radio 4). Television credits include Born with Two Mothers (Channel 4, 2005), Richard Is My Boyfriend (Channel Four, 2007), and Spooks (Kudos for BBC 1, 2007). Zinnie is has received comissions from the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Court Theatre, and the National Theatre of Scotland.
