Tim was raised in Wiltshire and trained at the East-15 School after graduating with a History 2:1 from Winchester University. As a writer, Tim has enjoyed success in television, radio and theatre, with several of his stage works being published.

In 2014 (with composer Charles Miller), Tim wrote book and lyrics for The Return of the Soldier. This WW1 chamber musical was presented at the Landor Theatre as part of the From Page to Stage Festival 2014, before premiering at Jermyn Street Theatre, London. The show attracted outstanding reviews and was nominated for an Off-West End Theatre award. Also in 2014, Jason and the Argonauts, the most ambitious of his four collaborations with Charles, was produced for the Karlsruhe Festival in Germany and on tour. In 2015 a new musical comedy, Princess Phyllida's Fortnight was presented at The Tristan Bates Theatre. 2016 saw Jason and the Argonauts re-imagined in a lavish production at The Bridewell, London, for The London School of Musical Theatre.

Tim's BBC Credits include Gurney, A Journey from the New World and The Man of Letters (all broadcast as Radio 4 Afternoon Dramas) plus several episodes of Doctors, screened on BBC1. Other theatre credits include Private Possession (The Green Room, London), Jason and The Argonauts (Cochrane Theatre, London), Star Child, Big Kids, The Fire Step and The Winston Club. Most recently, Tim was proud to write the script for The Kent Cultural Celebration 2016 which played at the Margate Winter Gardens and showcased the artistic talents of 150 young performers across the region.

Script-writing has dominated Tim's career for several years, although he has also worked extensively as an actor, copywriter and coach in the field of experiential training.
