Summary

In Five Golden Rings: A Greeting Card Channel Holiday Musical, Holly, a business exec from “the big city” gets snowed in at a quaint Vermont B&B for Christmas and begins to fall for its non-threateningly rugged owner. The issue: it’s the very B&B her company is supposed to take over! Everything you want (and expect) in a cable-TV Christmas movie, from flannel shirts to flirtatious snowball fights to overt product-placement, mixed with fun songs and a lot of holiday cheer!

History

Five Golden Rings: A Greeting Card Channel Holiday Musical had its first production in November 2022.

Keywords

HOLLY – A metropolitan go-getter with a lot of drive...and an even bigger heart! But for all of her business successes, something is still missing inside Holly. Perhaps the goals she’s chasing are simply distractions, keeping her from pursuing her true love: music...and the right person to make it with!
LANCE – A true-blue New Englander with a lot of flannel shirts...and an even bigger heart! Recently widowed, Lance tries to keep his B&B running, even as a giant corporation gobbles up every building in town. Holly’s arrival threatens the life he’s built for himself and his daughter and he’s ready to fight for all he loves...but can he fight his growing feelings for Holly?
GRACE – An ethereal young girl with a lot of spirit...and an even bigger heart! Grace is a believer in fate, magic, and a spiritual connection she shares with her deceased mother. She also believes nothing happens by chance, so when Holly shows up in Fairhope, Grace senses there’s a reason for it.
BRADLEY – A Machiavellian businessman with few scruples...and even less heart! Engaged to Holly, he sees her as a little more than a tool to help him climb the corporate ladder and a trophy fiancé to show off at company functions. His libido is as insatiable as his ambition, driving him to other women whenever possible.
NICK – A jolly, chubby, white-bearded man who could easily pass for Santa Claus, in looks and in mystical qualities. As the B&B’s bellhop, receptionist, maid, and handyman, Nick is seemingly everywhere at once, looking over the needs of the inn, but more importantly, the needs of its tenants and special guests.
TRISH – A straight-shooting, sassy city girl, hard and no-nonsense on the outside, but deep down, she’s caring and supportive. This is especially true when it comes to her best friend, Holly, who she’s known since college. She can see Holly’s on the wrong path to happiness and is determined to set her straight.
