While in the original production there were three actors and nine singers with doubling, this work could be performed by any number of singers and actors. There are 39 characters in the script; the author strongly recommends engaging a dialect coach, as there are numerous countries and classes represented. The various dialects are a vital part of the musicality and the storytelling.
