Summary
Written for BBC School Radio by the author of Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine, this telling play visits a local radio station when its late night broadcast is interrupted by a gun toting escapee from police custody. The vandalism for which he was convicted was in reality a one man stand against the lies told by advertisers and DJs to sell products and promote a dream world. The criminal is ultimately led away for psychiatric tests, but is it he or the dream merchants who are disturbed?
