Rose-Marie is an operetta-style musical set in Saskatchewan, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Rose-Marie LaFlamme is a French Canadian girl who is in love with Jim Kenyon, a miner. When Jim is suspected of having committed murder, Rose-Marie’s brother Emile makes plans for her to marry a city man named Edward Hawley instead.
