Summary

This play was written for the Leicestershire and Rutland Federtion of Women's Institutes who first presented it in Jubilee year, 1977. They wanted a show that could be rehearsed separately and simultaneously by a number of different groups, and that could be bought together for the final rehearsals. The script was intended to be as flexible as possible, and cater for as many different talents as possible. All the parts can be played by women: on the other hand over half them could be played by men. The choice is wide open.
