BKLYN The Musical is a story within a story. On the outside, a troupe of street performers sets its stage at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge, preparing to share a story of their lives. Through a gorgeous pop score, they tell the story of a young Parisian girl who comes to the U.S. to find the father she never knew. The story they create is a touching, inspiring fable and a live theatre experience to remember.

History

BKLYN The Musical premiered at the New Denver Civic Center on 30 April 2003. It then transferred to Broadway, debuting at the Plymouth Theatre on 21 October 2004, in a production starring Eden Espinosa. The UK premiere came at Greenwich Theatre in 2019.

BROOKLYN – Female. A famous young Parisian that comes to America to search for the Father she never knew.
FAITH – Female. Brooklyn’s mother; a dancer.
STREET SINGER – Male. A street performer that plays a rusty, old crowbar.
TAYLOR COLLINS – Male. A young singer from Brooklyn in 1969 Paris; Brooklyn’s father.
PARADICE – Female. The “Reigning Diva of the Decade” who challenges Brooklyn to a “Battle of the Divas” at Madison Square Garden.
THE CITY WEEDS – Male & Female. Act as the ensemble of the show.
