Finn explores the depths of the brilliant and beautiful ocean, with quirky sea creature characters and catchy tunes. Hilarious and heartwarming, this underwater musical chronicles the coming-of-age journey of Finn, a young shark who dreams of following in his family’s footsteps by joining the prestigious Shark Guard. As Finn faces the challenges of growing up and following his heart, his musical story becomes a magical journey of self-discovery, friendship and adventure.

History

Finn premiered at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on 23 November 2024. Directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, the production featured Dylan Toms in the title role.

FINN – Teens-20s. A sensitive young shark. Kindhearted and buoyant, he has never really fit into the pack.
AGGIE – Teens-20s. Finn’s older sister. Stern, tough, and driven, her harshness comes from a place of love.
SEASIL – Teens-20s. A spunky young regal tang, bursting with energy and enthusiasm.
AUNTIE – 40s. A traditional, uptight regal tang.
ROSCOE – Teens-20s. An energetic, macho shark.
LOLA – Teens-20s. A conceited shark.
BRUCE – Teens-20s. A hungry shark.
PUFF – Teens-20s. An anxious young puffer fish.
CRABBY – Teens-20s. A cantankerous young crab.
SQUIDGY – Teens-20s. A young squid.
PATRICK, FRANCES, MAMA – A fish family.
SEAHORSE – Teens-20s. A seahorse.
