The Tigers’ high school cheerleading squad is meeting for their annual sleepover at captain Riley’s house – and they’ve brought plenty of their teenage troubles with them. Including the dead bodies piling up in the yard.
The Tigers’ high school cheerleading squad is meeting for their annual sleepover at captain Riley’s house – and they’ve brought plenty of their teenage troubles with them. Love triangles, a lustful boyfriend and hurt feelings over a now-viral cheer stunt gone wrong complicate their team-bonding activities. But so does the untimely death of one of their own in the front yard. Will that be the only murder? And who did it? With a pop-driven, belty score and a seriously silly book, We Are the Tigers will have audiences cheering for the Tigers as the Tigers learn to cheer for themselves.

RILEY – 17. The new captain of the Tigers cheerleading squad, enthusiastically obsessed with getting the team to Regionals for the first time in the school’s history. Inspired by and devoted to cheerleading, Riley is determined to keep her eye on the prize. VOCAL RANGE – effortless belt/mix to F#5. CAIRO – 17. Riley’s best friend. Incredibly popular, used to easily getting everything she wants, rarely takes anything seriously. Despite her carefree façade, she’s not as empty-headed as the other girls think. VOCAL RANGE – effortless best/mix to G5. KATE – 16. An ex-gymnast who only joined the squad to be closer to her best friend, Chess. Kate is sarcastic, angst-ridden and sees cheerleading as an insulting replacement for gymnastics. Fiercely loyal and unconcerned with popularity. VOCAL RANGE – open. ANNLEIGH – 16. Well-intentioned but a little unhinged, extremely religious, and dedicated to living a morally sound lifestyle. Often burdened by taking care of her alcoholic step-sister and repressing her sexual urges for her boyfriend, Clark. VOCAL RANGE – effortless belt/mix to E5. REESE – 17. The Tigers’ well-meaning mascot who desperately dreams of being on the squad and has worked for it her whole life. Doesn’t quite fit what she's been told is the cheerleader mold, but still daydreams of being an “it” girl. VOCAL RANGE – open. FARRAH – 15. Annleigh’s step-sister, an excessive drinker, and the team’s resident “hot mess.” Despite a complicated history with the team, she's still hoping to find ways to connect and be taken seriously. VOCAL RANGE – open. CHESS – 17. An almost-Olympian who lost her career after an intense knee injury. Seemingly upbeat and friendly but struggling with an addiction to pain medication. VOCAL RANGE – effortless belt/mix to F#5. MATTIE – 14. The youngest, newest and most innocent member of the team. Adorable, polite, and optimistic about the future. VOCAL RANGE – open. EVA – 16. The highest ranked cheerleader in the state, who joins the Tigers on scholarship. Self-aware, incredibly smart and just trying to get through the year. VOCAL RANGE – open. CLARK – 18. A handsome jock. Annleigh’s loving, patient and dedicated boyfriend. VOCAL RANGE – Boy band tenor to A.
